Ages 2 3/4-pre-school.

This class is a combination of acting, dancing and singing with an aim to build a child’s confidence and imagination as well as developing coordination and concentration. Energetic and fast-paced this class will be sure to keep them smiling.

Ages P1-3, P4-7, S1-3, S4-6.

Our most popular class! Sessions available in Galashiels (Mondays) Melrose (Tuesdays), Selkirk (Wednesdays) and Lauder (Thursdays). PAT classes are an introduction to the three main disciplines of Musical Theatre; acting, dancing and singing. This class helps to build confidence, develop coordination and concentration as well as inspiring them to use their imagination and individual creativity.

Age 2 3/4-pre-school

Ballet will keep little ones engaged and immersed in the joy of dance. They will learn structured basic movements to help develop balance and control as well as free movement, helping to encourage creative flair and musicality.

Age P1-Adult

Become your own percussive instrument! Tap is one of the most rhythmical of all dance disciplines. Classes teach the foundations required to take pupils through the entire ISTD exam syllabi, gaining a wide vocabulary of steps that will have them looking and feeling like a skilful tapper. ISTD exams are available from primary to advanced levels.

Ages P1-S6

Modern dance is often seen on the stages of musical productions and is known for its theatrical qualities. Modern incorporates a combination of jazz, lyrical and contemporary dance styles consisting of high kicks, leaps and turns which require strength and flexibility. ISTD exams are available from primary to advanced levels.

P1-Adult

One of the most expressive forms of dance, ballet is the foundation of all disciplines. It helps to promote good posture, balance, strength and flexibility. Creative Stage follow the RAD exam syllabus, which also incorporates Hungarian, Russian and Polish character dance, and pointe work for those studying Grade 4 and above. RAD exams are available from primary to advanced levels.

Ages P1-S6

This non-syllabus, less structured, highly energetic class teaches children Hip-Hop moves and the latest up to date dance craze commercial styles as well as limbering and strengthening the body safely.

Ages P2-S6

The Acro dance programme is based on safe and effective progressions in flexibility, strength, balance, limbering and tumbling. Classes take the beginner from log rolls and somersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage.

Ages S1+

This non-syllabus, less structured, highly energetic class teaches the latest commercial style which develops and evolves with the changing fashion of dance. The class also teaches students to warm up the body correctly, stretch safely and become knowledgeable about their muscles and joints

Mini Monkeys is a circus-based dance programme that introduces fundamental circus and dance skills through interactive circuits and apparatus like balance beams, hula hoops, aerial silks, lyra, trapeze and juggling equipment
